Description
Join Anthony Sidney and explore the symbiotic relationship between Florence's captivating art and enchanting music during and after the Renaissance. Discover what music was present in the artists' everyday life or what instrument they played. An example of this particular relationship is in Caravaggio's painting "The Lute Player," there is a perfectly transcribed score by a Florentine composer who was Benvenuto Cellini's singing and music teacher.
There will be a live performance of music transcribed for the classical guitar. Lite snack too!!
