Scenic Orientation Hike
Description
During this amazing walk through the hills surrounding Florence you'll discover a unique blend of nature, history, and culture. This guided tour is designed to introduce you to the city's breathtaking landscapes while offering insights into Florence's rich cultural and artistic heritage. You'll enjoy panoramic views of the city, visit charming historic sites, and learn about the deep connection between Florence's natural beauty and its intellectual tradition. This is a perfect opportunity to experience Florence from a fresh perspective.
The trail is an easy hike. There will be some uphill climbs and a few hours of walking so be sure you can keep up without any difficulty. This is a hike, so come dressed in comfy attire and suitable walking shoes. No flip-flops or open-toed shoes. Take an umbrella with you!
The purpose of this activity is to get to know each other, not just to hike, so if it rains, we will engage in another activity around town.
The duration of the walk depends on many factors, including traffic and your level of training. Hike time approximately 2-3 hours, we will be back before it gets dark.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring:
- LUNCH FOR YOURSELF (no shop/restaurants around the area where we hike);
- WATER FOR YOURSELF;
- COMFORTABLE SHOES;
After the hike, we will stop for a coffee break. Please inform Seba (seba@srisa.org) of any allergies or food restrictions you may have.
By joining this hike, you accept responsibility for your safety and well–being. Please make sure you are fit enough to walk for a few hours. Even if you are a fast hiker, please stick with the group.
